Finally! It's Begun!

Hi! I'm Erin. I'm a stay-at-home mommy to three amazing children, J, K, and Little L. I have been wanting to start a blog since my son, J, was born, six years ago. But, as all mommies (and daddies) know, our intentions sometimes get away from us when we have so much fun and fascinating new "mommyisms" to explore. My husband, Corey, and I wanted a way to remember the every day things that our beautiful children say, accomplish, struggle with, and learn, and it seems this is the best avenue for us. I hope you enjoy our journey with us.

Everyday Outbursts

Here are some of the sayings that J, K, and Little L are using these days. I will also post funny little conversations, new mannerisms and new words here.

J:

"You get what you get and you don't get upset."

"Mommy, what are you saying?"

"Oh honey, I'm just talking to myself- I do that."

"Oohhh, you are using 'self-talk' - I get it."

K:

"Mommy I learned a new song at preschool today...'Mary, had a yittle yam, yittle yam, yittle yam...Mary had a yittle yam whose fleece was white as snow'..."

Little L:

She's not talking yet, at 13 months, but she is pointing and asking the question, "eh?" to everything.

Corey and I put the words "Always kiss me goodnight" on our wall above our bed...if I say those words, Little L looks right at the wall and points. She's such a smarty!

K says on the way to school yesterday, "Ah man! More construction traffic? You gotta be kiddin' me!" I guess she really does listen to everything we say ;)

K and I do cuddles every night at bedtime...I asked her if we could still cuddle when she's my age...she says, 'Not at night, Mommy, I'll have a husband and babies.'
So, I say, okay, well when I come over, will we still cuddle? She says, "Only when I invite you Mommy, you can't invite yourself...it's rude!"
*Well, I guess I should be happy she's learning her manners!
